Today is an exciting day!

When I was working in investor relations at Microsoft I would get emails and calls from retail shareholders. Moms, dads, grandparents, students, all who owned Microsoft shares and wanted to ask a question or offer their thoughts about the company.

I always wanted to do more with them. I wanted to treat them like we treated our institutional shareholders. Hear more from them. Make them feel more like a true owner of the company.

The technology was never right to be able to communicate easily with these shareholders. A post on our website didn’t seem enough. I have been thinking about this for years.
